"To obtain the best coverage available in the marketplace at the lowest possible cost" is the promise made by everyone of the experienced staff of Morrison Insurance Agency, but none more than our agency's owner, Randy Maddox. Our employees who each had considerable experience in the insurance industry, some as much as 40 years, deal with every facet of client coverage needs in both personal and commercial insurance.

Morrison Insurance Agency, Inc. was founded in October, 1952 by Don and Hugh Morrison. The two brothers opened their first office on the West Bank of New Orleans in Marrero. They had strictly a personal lines operation, writing automobile and homeowners insurance. In the 1970's they began to cultivate commercial lines customers and the agency grew to about $4,000,000 in writings.

In the late 1970's, Hugh Morrison developed the first computer program to offer rapid standard minimum limit liability policies. The agency had an exclusive to offer and the agency's writings soared by another $2,000,000, all in non-standard auto insurance.

In July of 1987, the agency was sold to Randy Maddox and Gary Gaston both executives of one of the largest worldwide insurance brokers, Alexander & Alexander. With backgrounds extensively in commercial risks the owners reshaped the agency into a more business insurance operation and premium writings skyrocketed. As the agency expanded, an office was opened in Mandeville as premiums exceeded $30,000,000. Maddox became the sole owner in 1998 and has steered the agency ever since.

Morrison Insurance Agency continues to this day to aggressively pursue the right protection for each client at the most cost effective option in the market. Morrison is proud of its outstanding retention of clients, some that have been customers for over 30 years.
